Shelter
for Men
The Siena/Francis House’s Men’s Shelter (also known as the “Francis House”) is located in our Baright Shelter (1111 North 17th Street), and has 222 emergency shelter beds available, all of which are filled on a nightly basis. Because of the tremendous need for this service, we utilize our organization’s dining room and lobby as an “overflow” men’s shelter. Depending on the weather, we typically have 100 or more additional men sleep on mats on the dining room floor, or in chairs.
The Francis House accommodates men (19 years and older) in the overnight shelter. Guests are can check in for overnight shelter as early as 4:30 p.m. daily, and must leave the shelter by 7:00 a.m. the next morning.
