DAILY NEEDS
Siena Francis House could not help the thousands of persons experiencing homelessness who seek assistance each year without in-kind donations, provided by caring members of our community. You can help us in a big way by collecting in-kind donations, or even hosting an in-kind donations drive! First, decide what you want to collect. Our daily needs list, the items in which we appreciate receiving as donations, is located below. Our more critical needs list is located HERE.
Maybe your Scout group wants to build a teepee out of TP (toilet paper) for a community project. Or, maybe you want to organize a canned food drive in your neighborhood. Maybe it's a coat drive, or a sock collection at your school. You can also contact our Dock & Logistics Manager, Rebecca Schrawyer, at 402-677-3085 for help brainstorming. Whatever your idea is, we want to know about it! Please let us know about your in-kind donation drive by completing the online form, below.
In-kind donations are accepted at the Siena Francis House’s Donation/Loading Dock from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Mondays through Saturdays. The dock is closed on Sundays and major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day; New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day/July 4; and Labor Day). The dock is located in our emergency shelter, located at 1117 North 17th Street in Omaha, although only accessible from 16th Street. The dock entrance is located on the west side of 16th Street, a half block north of 16th & Nicholas Street.
The courteous folks staffing the dock will give you a receipt at the time you make your donation.
If you have any questions about making an in-kind donation, please call or text our Dock & Logistics Manager, Rebecca Schrawyer, at 402-677-3085.
Thank you for considering making an in-kind donation to the Siena Francis House. We are very grateful!
