The Cottages Project Moves Forward
On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, the Omaha City Council approved the Siena Francis House’s “Cottages” project, to construct a micro-community of uniquely designed, single occupant homes. These 50 cottages will provide promise, opportunity and housing for persons who had experienced homelessness. While new to Nebraska, this concept is modeled after similar developments nationwide which produced sustainable results towards ending the cycle of chronic homelessness.
